My college educational background began with a year at Roberts Wesleyan College in NY for social work. The following year, I got married to a wonderful Christian man from my hometown of Adams Center, NY. Little did I know I would have another opportunity to get my degree – this time in Early Childhood Development – years later!
After moving to Frederick in 2011, I quickly realized that Maryland’s standards for teaching assistants are much higher than what I had known in NY, so I was encouraged by my husband to return to college to get my degree.
We have attended First Baptist Church of Frederick since moving here from New York State. I have been so blessed to be a part of the children’s ministry team since October 2011. What a privilege it is for me to see how God has brought me to a place where I can serve Him by teaching children to develop a love for learning at a young age, and help them to grow spiritually, socially, and academically!
My interests include chocolate, spending time with family, sewing preemie clothes, singing, playing piano and guitar, and reading.
